Film Synopsis:

Matches is a film which visualizes small moments in the lives of five characters of varying ages, who question the expectation and definition of growing old. The unusual pairing of two characters on a road trip intersects with a family searching for unity and joy. Each character, overcoming a loss of some kind, is forced to make choices as they reevaluate their views on family, identity, and independence. Matches mixes documentary-like realism with traditional narrative fiction, and elements of fantasy and magical realism.
